Hey guys! Today I made a super smoothie with high water content and not a lot of sugar... Romaine lettuce is a very good source of dietary fiber, as you might see from the picture of the smoothie. It also contains a lot of protein. Believe it or not, romaine lettuce is 17% protein with 7.7 grams per head. It also contains all 9 essential amino acids, so this is a great smoothie to make after your work out. For an extra boost, add 1-2 tbsp of hemp protein.
Romaine spirulina smoothie recipe
- 1 head of romaine lettuce
- 2 frozen bananas
- 1 tbsp spirulina
- 1 cup coconut water
Blend the ingredients in a high speed blender.
